Based on concepts of "Real Data - Real Learning", the AtSchool projects aim to improve statistics and data handling skills amongst school children.

CensusAtSchool

The international CensusAtSchool project collects and disseminates real data for use by teachers and pupils in data-handling, ICT and across the curriculum for learning and teaching.

ExperimentsAtSchool

ExperimentsAtSchool allows pupils to collect and analyse experimental data to draw practical conclusions in subjects including science, geography and psychology.

SurveyAtSchool

SurveyAtSchool

Complementing CensusAtSchool by completing the handling data cycle, SurveyAtSchool allows pupils to create their own online surveys and investigate the collected data.

IssuesAtSchool

IssuesAtSchool

IssuesAtSchool is being piloted during the academic year 2004/5 by 12 specialist schools. The project focuses on biomedical issues, (often controversial) and are developed through class activities and debate followed by individual opinion.

Staff at the RSSCSE are working with colleagues at Concept2 in order to collect real data from schools and school-age learners that use its rowing machine.
