The Centre for Applied Social
Surveys (or email
for details) has many short courses on survey sampling;
quantitative survey design and data collection; survey data
analysis; and allied topics.

The Civil Service
College has courses geared to civil servants. These include
Statistics for Management and Policy; The Statistics of
Environmental Sampling; Sampling for Scientists, Technologists
and Researchers; and many others.

The IACR at Rothamsted runs two-day
courses on Statistical Concepts for Statistics; Planning,
analysis and interpretation of scientific experiments; the
Analysis of Repeated Measures and Statistical Modelling for

The Statistical
Services Centre at the University of Reading regularly runs
courses for non-statisticians
under the headings of Statistics for Technologist Week and Social
Scientist Week as well as courses for professional statisticians
under the headings of Applied Statistics Weeks (including binary
and categorical data; survival data; multivariate analysis and
repeated measures, Industrial Experimentation) and SAS Weeks.
