How old is your height?

This task uses a Problem-Solving Approach and is designed to take approximately 3 hours of teaching time.

The resource explores the use of data within the historical context of the Industrial revolution. In 1833 the first factory act was introduced to control the employment of children in factories. Inspectors were employed to enforce the act – to solve the problem of identifying a child’s age.
