Q. What is statsclub?

A. statsclub is a place where young people work together to:

  • gain a better understanding of the world through statistics;
  • seek out and evaluate good and bad statistics in the media and elsewhere;
  • get an opportunity to work with others on interesting problems.


Q. What is statsclub for?

A. It is a way of:

  • being kept up to date;
  • gaining links to the RSS getstats campaign;
  • learning about solving real problems.


Q. Who is statsclub for?

A. statsclub is for Teachers and pupils interested in making decisions or solving problems based on evidence.


Q. What will I get from statsclub?

A. You will gain;

  • a better understanding of the world around you;
  • skills to make better sense of data and evidence based decisions;
  • real world problem solving skills;
  • understanding that statistics is a life skill.


Q. What will the RSSCSE do for statsclub? A. The RSSCSE will;
  • Facilitate events and meetings both locally and nationally;
  • Raise issues about local and national media use of statistics;
  • Arrange visits to RSS local group meetings.


Q. Will statsclub provide personal tutors to give me the answers to my exam/test?

A. No, statsclub is not for answering examination questions or providing one-to-one help to get you through exams/tests.
