Aims and Objectives

The aim of the Royal Statistical Society Centre for Statistical Education is 'To promote the improvement of statistical education, training and understanding at all ages'.

Work to support this aim will be carried out in four main areas:

  1. school and further education;

  2. higher education for all courses in which statistics is taught;

  3. continuing professional development including all who use statistics as part of their professional life;

  4. society as a whole.

Visitors to the Centre

Visitors to the Centre are always welcome. Some come for quite long sabbatical periods of study. Many visitors, of course, come for much shorter periods of time, and others 'visit' only by remote access means. The Centre is gradually extending the range of support that it can provide at a distance for such people by exploiting available technology and multimedia to the full.
